March 9 Polls: IGP Warns Trouble Makers

Acting Inspector General of Police, Adamu Mohammed, has warned ballot box snatchers and other trouble makers to keep off polling units during the Governorship and State Houses of Assembly Polls.

Police personnel, according to him, will deal ruthlessly with such elements who attempts to disrupt the electoral process on Saturday.

Mohammed, issuing the warning says more Police personnel will be deployed to states which are prone to electoral violence such as Bayelsa State and others States in the axis.

He adds that more Police Personnel will be posted to other areas identified during the last February 23 Polls as flashpoints.

The Police Chief explains that Police Intelligence will also be massively deployed to the trouble spots to take out troublemakers before they strike.
