Lagos-Ibadan expressway is one of the major roads that will benefit from the N79 billion road projects to be executed by the presidency this year.
Power, Works and Housing Minister, Raji Fashola, who made this known in an interview, listed other major road projects to be executed this year as the second Niger bridge project, Onitsha; and Abuja-Lokoja road.
Others are the Ore-Sagamu expressway and the Enugu-Port Harcourt expressway.
The Minister said 41 contractors are to be paid before end of June, to return to the site of the abandoned federal road projects.
Fashola said the contractors are to re-engage 17,500 workers laid off over the debt owed them in the past three years.
