Consumers of cooking gas in the nearest future will no longer own their liquefied natural gas (LNG) cylinders.
Petroleum Resources Minister of State, Doctor Ibe Kachikwu, who made this known says a policy is in the offing to strip cooking gas of the ownership of cylinders.
Under the proposed policy, the Minister explains that LPG distributors and dealers will own the cylinders.
Ahead of the takeoff of the policy, Kachikwu says that two major LPG cylinder manufacturers to supply 600,000 cylinders to LPG distributors on credit.
