Lille coach, Christophe Galtier, has insisted that victor Osimhen will remain at the club when the January transfer window closes for business amid speculation linking the striker with a move to Barcelona.
The Spanish champions, Barcelona, has identified the Nigeria international as a possible replacement for the ageing Luis Suarez and has been monitoring his performances in France.
Since transferring to Lille, Osimhen has proven that his form last season for Sporting Charleroi was not a flash in the pan with 11 goals in 21 games across all competitions.
On an international level, Osimhen has also established himself as one of the hottest African footballers, scoring four goals in his last four appearances for the Super Eagles and was recently nominated for the AFRICAN youth player of the year by the confederation of African football.
Osimhen is expected to be on parade for lille when they tackle Chelsea in their final Champions league group game on Tuesday night at Stamford Bridge.
