LASSA: Ogun activates response system to stop spread

Ogun state government says it has reactivated its response and surveillance system to prevent the spread of Lassa Fever to the state from delta and Anambra states.

The state’s epidemiologist, Doctor Oluyomi Bamiselu, who made this known on a Rockcty FM programme “Health Wise”, asked the public not to panic as the state has not recorded any cases of the disease

The epidemiologist said that the state government has sensitized and alerted the medical and health workers, as well as the disease surveillance officers in state on the recent outbreak of the disease in some states in the country.
