A Former Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido has pleaded with Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, not to allow his disappointment with Nigeria’s sitting Presidents, to turn him into a bigot.
Lamido in a statement urges Obasanjo not to abandon the national stage.
Obasanjo last Saturday, at a lecture at Oleh in Delta State, had warned that Boko Haram and herdsmen have an agenda of Fulanization and Islamization of Nigeria and West Africa.
But the Former Governor notes that the cracks along the various divides of national cohesion are already turning into huge gorge.
The statement of Obasanjo, according to Lamido, belittles the image of Obasanjo as a global figure, adding that making such a statement in a religious circle is very dangerous.
