KOGI TO SUE EFCC OVER FROZEN N20BN SALARY ACCOUNT

Kogi State government says, it will sue the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over a court order freezing its N20 Billion salary bail out in a bank account

EFCC had taken the state government to a court for fixing the N20 billion salaries in an interest yielding account in a bank, instead of using it for purpose it was meant for

Justice Tijani Ringim of a Federal High Court in Lagos in his ruling on the EFCC application last Tuesday, ordered the freezing of the N20 billion in the bank account

The state information commissioner, Kingsley Fanwo, addressing a news conference in Lokoja, accused EFCC of misleading the court

According to Fanwo, the anti graft agency presented an alleged false documents to the judge to obtain the order of the account
