A director in the Kogi State Pensions Board, Alphonsus Ameh, has died of heart attack after receiving a letter terminating his appointment.
The late director who had been on suspension since January 2016, got his sack letter on December 29, 2017.
Family sources say the late director suddenly developed a high blood pressure after receiving the sack letter.
He died on January 1, 2017.
The deceased, who hailed from Ade Community in Olamaboro Local Council of the state, resided in Lokoja.The state government under Bello had embarked on civil service reforms, which also provided for staff screening and verification exercises. Before embarking on the exercise, directors and permanent secretaries were suspended.
