KIDNAPPING: Police Deploy Special Force, Helicopter to Kogi State

Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, has deployed more policemen and equipment to Kogi State, to stop the rising cases of kidnapping in the state.

Deployed are four units of mobile policemen, a helicopter and a Special Anti-robbery Squad from the force headquarters.

The State Police Commissioner, Yakubu Usman, made this known, at the government house in Lokoja, where the deployed men and equipment were handed over to governor Yahaya Bello.

The police commissioner said the deployed men and equipment would assist the security agencies to rid the state of criminals, including kidnappers.

In the past years, the state has become notorious for kidnappers who abducted judges, politicians and very top government officials passing through the state.
