KIDNAP SUSPECTS NABBED, WHILE COLLECTING RANSOM IN OGUN

Two suspected kidnappers have been arrested in Ogun State, while picking up ransom money over an abducted seven year old boy in the industrial town of Agbara.

The suspects, who were members of a three member kidnap gang, were identified by the police as Muhammadu Abubakar and Clinton Nighe.

Detectives from the Agbara area police command started tracking the kidnap gang after a report lodged that the boy sent on an errand by his mother since 11.20 am on Sunday failed to return home.

The parent told the police that hours later, they received a phone call from some people demanding the payment of N1milion ransom to free him.

The kidnap gang directed that the ransom money be deposited in a specific place.

The detectives after investigations tracked the members of the gang and intercepted two deployed to pick the ransom money.

The suspects later led detectives into a bush where the boy was tied to a tree, while the third member of the gang escaped.
