The kick-off of the Nigeria National League, NNL has been put off once again.
The league body confirmed this through a letter sent out to clubs on Wednesday.
The teams were already gearing up for Saturday’s kick off, but the league board says due to inability of clubs to complete their registration, the date becomes no longer feasible.
This will make it the second time the league commencement will be postponed.
Forty teams are in the Nigerian second tier league and they have been divided into four groups of ten.
The quartet of Heartland, Kwara United, Go Round FC and Yobe Desert Stars secured promotion to the elite division last season while Shooting Stars, Gombe United, Remo Stars and ABS dropped down.
A new date as stipulated in the league body’s correspondence will be announced soon. Please subscribe to our newsletter
