Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) says candidates seeking to write the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), must possess the National Identity Number, issued by the National Identification Management Commission (NIMC).
The demand for national identity numbers, according to JAMB, is in line with the directive of federal government that NIMC should be the primary data collection centre in the country.
JAMB Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, announces the proposed measure, while receiving the Director of Bureau of Public Service Reform, Dasuki Arabia at his office in Abuja.
The measure, according to Oloyede, will address frauds during the UTME.
Arabia urges jamb to take advantage of the self-assessment tool developed by the bureau for the UTME examinations.
