Ogun and Lagos state police are searching for the four home owners abducted from a housing estate at Isheri on the Lagos state border with Ogun State.

the four home owners were abducted by gunmen from the estate last Saturday by gunmen who dressed in military uniform and invaded the area from the creek.

spokesman of the Ogun State Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi told RockCity FM that police from the command are joining their Lagos state counterpart to track the kidnappers and rescue their victims.

The Ogun state police commissioner, Ahmed Ilyasu was at the estate on Sunday to assure the residents of adequate security to prevent fresh attack in the area.

On the disagreement between the Ogun and Lagos state police commands on whose jurisdiction the estate falls, spokesman of the Lagos command, Dolapo Badmus, said it was within Ogun State.

She however, said Lagos police command is taking a leading role in Search for the victims.

But Ogun State police command insisted that the estate is in Lagos state, but said police from the command are fully participating in the rescue operation.
