Insurgency: 1.2m children in IDP camps -UNICEF

The United Nations Children Education Fund (UNICEF) has expressed concern over the large number of children in the internally displaced camps in the north east region, following Boko Haram attacks.

D-field office of UNICEF said the number of children in the camps has increased to 1.2 million, calling on the global community to end the unprecedented level of violence against children.

The UN agency says children in the camps are suffering untold hardships caused by killings, abduction, and suicide bombing by Boko Haram.
