Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it is ready for the March 9 Governorship and House of States Assembly Polls.
The Governorship Poll, according to the Commission will hold in 29 States.
INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmoud Yakub, speaking on the issue at the meeting convened to prepare the agency for the polls, says that preparation for the polls have reached an advanced stage.
The meeting held at INEC headquarters, Abuja, was attended by officials of the management team of the agency and resident electoral commissioners.
The Governorship Poll will not hold in seven states, including Edo, Ekiti and Osun States.
But the State Houses of Assembly Polls will take place in all the States.
Yakub says the last Presidential and National Assembly Polls were also subjected to a review at the meeting.
He explains that the review of the process and procedure of the last Saturday’s Polls will enable the Commission to determine areas to be amended, if necessary, ahead of the March 9 polls.
