Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun state has stated that his administration is adjusting its finances and expenditures to ensure the completion of all the ongoing road projects before leaving office on May 29, 2019.
Amosun who gave indication in an interview with newsmen during his Democracy Day inspection of the projects across the state, promised to work till his last day in office to ensure the completion of the ongoing projects.
The governor explained that during his six years of his administration in office, the shortage of funds caused by the Economic recession stopped works on the project for about one year.
On 32-kilometre N60 billion Sango Ota- Akute-Ojodu road project, Amosun said that additional N31 billion is required to complete the project, after pumping about N29 billion on construction of the five flyovers and bridges on the project.
He explained that his administration is spending so much on the Sango Ota-Ojodu and the 110 kilometre Ilara-Ijoun-Ilase road projects because of the envisaged catalytic effect they will have on the economy of the state.
