House of Representatives has asked the presidency to direct the joint admission matriculation board (JAMB) to suspend the computer based test (CBT) of the ongoing 2016 unified tertiary matriculation examination (UTME).
There have been massive protests against the conduct of the CBT examination by candidates and stakeholders.
A member of the house from Lagos State, Oghene ego, in a motion drew the attention of the house to the shoddy implementation of the CBT examination.
The lawmaker recommended that jamb be compelled to allow paper pencil based test in the conduct of the UTME until it perfects the CBT mode.
The Speaker , Yakubu Dogara, in his ruling mandated the education committee to liase with education ministry to ensure that jamb suspend the CBT mode of examination
