The number of Nigeria’s intending pilgrims who died in the ongoing Hajj exercise in Saudi Arabia, has risen to five.
Chairman of the medical team of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Doctor Ibrahim Kana, giving an update on the casualty figure, says the five Hajj pilgrims who died included three females and two males.
He explains that four of them died in Mecca, while the fifth died in Medina.
Doctor Kana says they died of illness, including heart and lung diseases.
108 other pilgrims, according to him, were also referred to several hospitals in Saudi Arabia.
