Gunmen have again ambushed a passenger bus in rivers state, abducting passengers and the driver.
The bus carrying 19 passengers and heading from Port Harcourt to Owerri, was blocked by gunmen at Isikpe Elele Road close to the Rivers State capital.
The gunmen marched their captives into the bush.
The hijack of the bus by gunmen, is the third in the axis within a month.
Spokesman of the Rivers State Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni, said 12 of those kidnapped had been rescued by security forces deployed into the bush immediately after the incident.
