The State Governors have rejected the rate of adjustment of the new national minimum wage for workers earning n30,000 monthly and above.
The Governors, however clarified they will implement the new n30,000 national monthly minimum wage, which they were part of its negotiations with labour.
The Nigeria Governors Forum at the end of its emergency meeting in Abuja on monday says, each of the state government will decide the percentage of the new wage adjustment they could pay.
The Forum Chairman, Kayode Fayemi, addressing newsmen explains that federal executive council which negotiated the new wage adjustment could not dictate to the state governments.
Fayemi further explains that each of the state governments will engage the local unions on the implementation of the adjusted national minimum wage.
