Governor Obiano declares November 17 as public holiday ahead of Anambra elections

Anambra State government has declared November 17 a public holiday in the state.

The public holiday, according to Governor Willie Obiano, is to enable civil servants fully participate in the November 18 governorship poll in the state.

Obiano announced the public holiday at a ceremony marking the 2017 African Public Service Day in Awka, the state capital.

The governor is contesting in the poll on the platform of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).
