Candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Governor Willie Obiano, has swept the Anambra State governorship poll.
Obiano won in all the 21 local government area of the state, according to the results declared by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
He defeated closest rivals, including Tony Nwoye of APC and Oseleka Obaze of PDP.
INEC state returning officer, Professor Zana Akpagu, while announcing the results of the poll at a news conference in the state capital, said that Obiano won in all the state’s 21 local government areas
According to him, Obiano of APGA scored 234,000 votes, against his closest rival, Tony Nwoye of APC who collected 98,752 votes, and Oseleke Obaze of PDP who received 70,293 votes
Meanwhile, the PDP candidate has faulted the results, saying it did not reflect the voting pattern during the Saturday poll
