Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa state has relieved 10 commissioners of their jobs, and redeployed two others.
Secretary to the state government, Mr Mohammed Abdullahi, who announced this in a statement, said that six commissioners were retained.
Those retained are: Yusuf Shehu-Usman (justice), Daniel Iya (health), Sunny Agassi (lands), and Gabriel Aka’aka (environment).
Those redeployed are Aliyu Tijani from local government and chieftaincy affairs to education, while Haruna Osegba moved from commerce and industry to local government and chieftaincy affairs.
The governor has forwarded the names of new nominees to the state House of Assembly for confirmation to replace those asked to go.
