Ogun State governorship aspirant, Prince Gboyega Isiaka, has said that he is not bothered by the decision of the Ogun West Elders council, to search for a consensus candidate of the senatorial district, for the 2019 governorship poll.
The council, according to him, is fronting for a faction of APC in the state.
The Elders Council, in a communique issued at the end of a political summit held last Wednesday in Ilaro, resolved to reduce the number of all governorship aspirants from the zone, to one popular, acceptable and capable candidate, within the next one month.
Both Isiaka and Senator Solomon Adeola, alias YAYI, who are among the top aspirants from the zone, who had declared interest in the 2019 governorship race, stayed away from the summit, on the ground they were not invited.
Speaking to Rockcity FM news after the Wednesday summit, Isiaka says he is indifferent to the decision of Elders Council to pick a consensus Yewa candidate for the 2019 poll.
Isiaka, however, explains that whatever is the position of the Elders Council on the issue, it will not stop him from going ahead with his governorship ambition.
The Elders Council, according to Isiaka, who is the 2011 PPN governorship candidate and 2015 PDP governorship candidate, is at liberty to do what it wants.
On which of the political parties he will to contest the 2019 governorship poll, Isiaka says that such decision will be taken at the appropriate time.
