*Ganduje Advocates Halt To Herders And Cattle Movement From North To South

FULANI HERDSMEN MOVING THEIR CATTLES

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has called for a ban on the movement of herders and their cattle from Northern States to the South and Middle belt regions

The governor says the ban will end the protracted clashes between farmers and herders in the country

Ganduje made the call in an interview with newsmen on the side-line of a special dinner by APC governors and President Buhari at his country home in Daura, Katsina State

He calls for a law to back the proposed ban which according to him will also address the challenges of cattle rustling According to the governor, the clashes between farmers and herders will continue if the herders/cattle movement is not halted
