Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has said it will not tolerate lecturers who demand sex from female students in exchange for marks.
The institution also said it will not condone the act of demanding gifts from students in exchange for marks.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Kolawole Salako, spoke on the issue, while answering questions from newsmen on the sideline of the university’s thirtieth anniversary lecture delivered by a former executive secretary of the National Universities Commission, Professor Julius Okojie.
He said that some of the institution’s lecturers had been sacked in the past for demanding sex in exchange for marks from female students.
Female students, according to him, have been directed to report anyone in the university who demands sex in exchange for marks.
