Fuel Scarcity looms – IPMAN

Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria IPMAN, has alerted of another round of petrol shortage in Ogun and Lagos states.

The association says that the Pipeline and Products Marketing Company PPMC, had stopped loading petrol at the Ejigbo satellite depot in Lagos, in the past three weeks.

Also at the Mosinmi and Ibadan depots, the association says between 10 and 12 trucks are being loaded with petrol daily, instead of the usual 120 trucks.

Ejigbo depot Chairman of the association, Alhaji Ayo Alanamu, who made this known, warns that the situation if not addressed immediately, may lead to another round of petrol scarcity.

He blames the situation partly on the non payment of salaries to operatives of pipeline surveillance team protecting the oil pipelines from vandals.
