Explosions have rocked a police divisional headquaters in Jimeta area of Yola, the Adamawa state capital.
Four senior police officers, including the division anti-bomb squad commander died in the explosion
The state police commissioner, Mohammed gazali, told newsmen in Yola, that the explosion was caused by an improvised explosive device siezed from Boko haram, and stored in the police station’s exhibit room.
Offices affected in the police station are those of the Central Investigations Bureau, motor traffic and tailoring section.
He said the explosions also affected the walls of Majalisa primary school, injuring some pupils in the school.
In the past months, Yola has been targetted by suicide bombers who killed 34 last November in Jambutu lorry park, and another 72, last october 23, in Jambutu mosque.
