Four robbers to die by firing squad

Akure High Court had sentenced four members of an armed robbery gang to death for hijacking of trucks loaded with petroleum products.

The accused are Abduraman Yinusa, Maliki Sani, Ajayi Saliu, and Mohammed Jimoh.

They were arraigned before the court for hijacking a truck marked XN 810 ABC, loaded with 33,000 litres of petrol along Isua-Idoani expressway in Ondo state.

Justice D. Kolawole of the special criminal high court located inside the Olokuta Medium Prison in Akure, said he was satisfied with the submission of the prosecution and ordered the four accused be executed by firing squad.
