Flood Sweeps Away Three Children In Delta

Three children have been washed away by ravaging flood in Warri north area of Delta State.

The tragic incident, occurred at Polobubo community.

The children, aged between two and five years, fell victims of the massive flooding of canal in the community.

Members of the two families of the three children, told newsmen who visited the area, that the children had gone out to play before they were swept away by flood.

They say that the children could not be immediately rescued, because there was nobody in the area when the incident occurred, adding they were later found dead.

Secretary General of the community, Midwest Kakuru, accuses Chevron Oil, of causing the disaster, because of the canal it dug from the community into the Atlantic Ocean.
