The Presidency is undertaking a forensic auditing of major Federal Government’s revenue generating agencies.
Accountant General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, whose office is undertaking the auditing exercise, said 18 professional audit firms are engaged for the purpose.
Idris said the audit exercise which would cover the period of 2010-2015 would be completed in 18 months.
The Accountant General said the forensic audit would cover capital, personnel and overhead expenditure.
Recently, the fiscal responsibility commission accused the revenue generating agencies of not remitting up to 80 per cent of their operational surplus into the Federal Consolidated Revenue.
