FG Owes Ogun Over N300BN On Reconstructed Federal Roads

Federal government is owing Ogun State government over N300 billion for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of some of the federal roads in the state

Governor Dapo Abiodun made this known, while hosting members of the Igbobi College Old Boys Association at the governor’s office, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta

He told the visitors that the deplorable conditions of most of the federal roads in the state is worrisome

For instance, the governor said N13 billion is required to reconstruct the failed portion of the Sango Ota axis of the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway, and N75 billion to fix the entire stretch of the road

Abiodun, however, said the state government does not have the N13 billion to reconstruct the Sango Ota axis of the expressway

Chairman of the old boys association, Senator Lanre Tejuoso, told the governor that the visit to the state is for a four day retreat.

Tejuoso also said that some of members of the association are investors seeking opportunities in the state.
