FG Faults Critics Of NYSC, Says It Has Come To Stay

Federal government has faulted critics of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), despite the challenges facing the scheme.

Sports and youth development minister, Sunday Dare, says there has been a debate on whether the scheme should be scrapped or retained.

Dare speaking at the premiere of an advocacy movie produced by NYSC, told critics of NYSC that it has come to stay.

According to him, the scheme is now more than ever relevant to nation building.

The minister promises to send a bill to the federal executive council for the establishment of the NYSC trust fund.

He applauds the timing of the movie, saying it must be shown on every viewing platforms and go viral.
