Federal Executive Council approves 2018 budget draft

Federal Executive Council has approved the draft estimates for the proposed 2018 budget.

Budget and national planning minister, Senator Udoma Udoma, announced this to the State House correspondents, after the end of the weekly meeting of the council, presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The minister said the Presidency will meet with the leadership of the Senate and House of Representatives, to agree on a date when Buhari will present the appropriation bill before the lawmakers.

Udoma was silent on the details of the approved estimates of the proposed budget.

On the 2017 budget, the finance minister, Kemi Adeosun, said N450 billion had been released for capital projects.
