Fayose pleads with striking workers

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has pleaded with Labour leaders to suspend the ongoing strike by the state civil servants which has crippled public services in the state.

The Governor in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, urged the labour leaders to enter into fresh negotiations with top government officials over the unpaid salaries after calling off the strike.

Fayose who said he has always been transparent with labour leaders in disbursement of the revenue accruing to the coffer of his government, said his government is paying n1 billion monthly to service bonds and bank debts.

Meanwhile, judiciary workers have backed out of the strike, and resume duty.
