FAYOSE: Ekiti lawmakers hold plenary on highway

Members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly have held their plenary on a major road in Ado Ekiti to protest the freezing of Governor Ayodele Fayose’s bank account by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

They sat under a canopy, carried travelling bags, containing personal effects, saying they are ready for EFCC arrest.

The Assembly Speaker, Kola Oluwawole, told newsmen they were solidly behind the Governor, and that nobody could induce them to impeach him.

Armed policemen in more than 10 pick-up patrol vans provided security and cordoned off a stretch of the road where the plenary took place.
