Faction drags PDP to court in Ogun over dissolution of exco

People Democratic Party (PDP)

The Ogun State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) crisis has refused to go as the Bayo Dayo faction has again approached a Federal High Court in Abuja, to assert itself as the authentic executive committee of the party in the state.

The faction is challenging the election of Ogun State delegates to the last December 9 PDP national convention in Abuja.

In the application, the faction wants the court to sack the new PDP deputy national chairman (south), Elder Yemi Akinwonmi, and to replace him with Segun Seriki.

Also, the faction wants the court to determine if the PDP national working committee has the powers to dissolve Ogun State exco when its tenure had not expired.

The faction also asked the court to determine if the national working committee has the powers to conduct the PDP congresses in Ogun State last October 21 and 28, as well as November 4.
