Nigerian forward, Emmanuel Emenike, has joined Olympiacos from Turkish top division side Fenerbahce.
The Greek champions announced the capture of the 30-year-old striker on Wednesday, but left the financial part of the announcement undisclosed.
However, reports in Greece and Turkey have suggested this week ahead of the player’s move that a transfer deal of around 2 million euro was struck by the two clubs.
Emenike, after completing his move to Olympiacos, made it clear that he is keen to “give his best when he is on the pitch.”
“I want to say to our fans that I’m here. I’m here to play and I will always give my best. When I’m on the field, I will give my best, for the club and for the fans,” Emenike vowed after he passed his medical.
Olympiakos are to play friendlies against Lokeren as well as Dutch club AZ Alkmaar before they return to base on July 16.
Last season, the striker scored five times for Fenerbahce.
