Electricity workers have threatened to plunge the country into blackout.
The workers, under the auspices of National Union of Electricity Employees, have given the Federal Government a 21 day ultimatum to meet their demands.
The union in its petition to the power ministry, also extends the deadline to generating companies and electricity distribution companies.
Their demands, include the payment of entitlements of over 2,000 disengaged workers and the underpayment of over 50,000 workers of the defunct power holding company of Nigeria (PHCN).
They also ask electricity distribution companies to remit their contributory pension to the pension fund administrators, and full payment of staff by the companies.
