Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has enrolled his six year old son in a public primary school in Kaduna metropolis.
The governor accompanied the boy, Abubakar El-Rufai to enroll at Capitol School at Maladi.
The enrollment, according to the governor is in fulfillment of the promise he made in a statewide broadcast in 2017 to enroll his son when he attain the age of six years.
He says it is part of the ongoing reform to reposition public schools in the state.
The governor’s wife, Ummi, who also accompanied the boy to the school, explains that they are sending strong signal to leaders and elites to patronize public schools so as to make things work in Nigeria.
