EGBA PARAMOUNT RULER BACKS CUSTOMS AGAINST OGUN SMUGGLERS

The paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Aremu Gbadebo says, he is opposed to smuggling activities, across the state’s border into the country.

He promised to continue giving massive support to moves by Nigeria Customs Service to stop smuggling activities in the state.

The monarch spoke on the issue, while receiving the new comptroller of Ogun State one command of the customs, Dera Nnamdi at his palace in Ake, Abeokuta.

The Alake told the customs comptroller that he will never plead for anyone caught for smuggling in the state.

The paramount ruler said he will continue supporting the customs, because the revenue generated by the agency is being used by governments to construct and fix basic infrastructures such as roads, hospitals and schools More on the customs’ comptroller’s visit to monarchs in Yewaland in later bulletins.
