Ghanaian coach Yaw Preko with NPFL club FC Ifeanyi Ubah has emerged the winner of League Bloggers Awards (LBA) for May for his outstanding performance in the Nigerian top flight.
Lobi Stars forward Kingsley Eduwo claimed the player for the month.
Eduwo and Preko posted superior performances with their clubs in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) in the month under review to fend off other contenders in the running for both categories of awards.
Abdu Maikaba of Akwa United, Solomon Ogbeide of Lobi Stars and Chukwuma Agbo of rangers were all in line for the manager’s award alongside Preko.
It was a strong field of shortlists for the player’s award as Eduwo had to square up with last season’s top scorer Godwin Obaje of FC Ifeanyi Ubah, Enugu Rangers winger Osas Okoro and Plateau United left-back Daniel Itodo.
The next edition of LBA will be for manager and player for the month of June.
