Eight domestic airlines operated 48, 319 flights in 2017, according to the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
Out of the number 30, 214 were delayed while only 872 flights were cancelled.
Altogether, the eight airlines including Arik Air, Aero Contractors, Air Peace, First Nation, Dana, Med-view, Azman Air and Overland airlifted 3,780,576 in-bound passengers and 3, 865, 499 out-bound passengers.
The passengers’ figure however dropped compared to 4 024,387 and 4,171,191 that were conveyed in the previous year 2016.
According to the 2017 summary of local and international flight operations 30 international airlines operated 13, 503 flights with over 1,750,184 and 1,825,358 in-bound and out-bound passengers airlifted.
