Ogun state government says it will no longer allow its resources to be taken over by neighbouring states.
Already, committees have been set up to liaise with the national boundary commission and other stakeholders, to settle the boundary disputes with states such Lagos and Ondo, which were inconclusive in the year 2016.
Deputy governor, Yetunde Onanuga stated this at a meeting with the chairmen of local governments sharing boundary with other states at the Governor’s Office, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.
She directs the council chairmen affected by boundary disputes to always call the attention of the state government to issues causing the disputes
The deputy governor urged them to be pro Active on boundary related-issues and be sensitive in handling them in order to achieve peaceful co-existence between them and communities in the neighbouring states.
