Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State says he will not waste time in signing the death warrant for the immediate execution of convicted kidnappers in the state.

The Governor expressing concern over the rise in kidnapping activities in the State says prompt execution of convicted kidnappers will deter potential ones.
Dickson says he is disturbed over the rise in the crime on the strategic Ahoada-Bayelsa axis of the East-West Highway.
He explains that his administration is collaborating with law enforcement agencies and Judiciary to facilitate prompt arrest and prosecution of suspected kidnappers in the State.
So far, the Governor says several high profile kidnappers had been arrested and undergoing prosecution.
