Guest: Eng. Tajudeen Olori
Topic: Oil and Gas Sector in Nigeria…
An Oil and Gas expert, Engr. Tajudeen Olori has thrown his weight behind the calls in some quarters to sell some of our refineries to raise funds to resuscitate the economy.
Speaking on the programme Day Break show, broadcast on Rockcity101.9fm, Engr. Olori asked government to allow private sectors ownership and full deregulation of the petroleum sector, downstream. He however disagrees with Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote who canvassed for the sale of NLNG to raise funds.
Engr. Olori believes NLNG is one of the few success stories of government business; therefore it should not be tampered with.
Once we stamp out corruption in the country and sector, there will be a great difference in the oil and gas sector, bringing about sanity and transparency…. Dr. Ebenezer Nkom.
We should add more refineries to the ones on the ground to avoid shortfalls in refining and production of petroleum products….. Ola Animashaun
