Customs Intercepts Cannabis In Coffin

Officers of Nigeria Customs Service have intercepted a huge consignment of cannabis hidden in a dead body and a pick up van at Seme, Nigeria’s border with Benin Republic.

The 1,582 parcels of the drug were being smuggled from Ghana, according to the border Area Comptroller of the Customs, Mohammed Garba.

Garba addressing newsmen at the border post puts the street value of the seized drug at n25.2 million.

He says that the pickup van was intercepted at Owode-Apa road and on search parcels of the drug was found hidden in the truck and coffin in which corpse was kept.
