Covid: Wike Threatens Closure Of Worship Centres

Algeria Emerges As Second Africa’s Nation To Confirm Coronavirus

Governor Onyesom Wike has threatened to shut down worship centres in the state for not complying with the Covid 19 protocols, particularly wearing of face masks by worshipers

The governor says he is worried that some people still believe that Covid 19 is not real because their close relations or friends had not died of the virus

Wike who claims he knew people killed by the virus, spoke again on the issue at a thanksgiving service organized at saint martin’s Anglican church in Port Harcourt

He reminds the audience that his administration is footing the bill of treating those infected by the virus, adding that such funds are needed for developmental projects
