Covid 19 infection dropped sharply on Wednesday, with 869 cases recorded in Abuja and 24 states
Lagos state led with 229 infections, followed by Rivers with 79, Taraba (73), Oyo (66), Ogun (60) and 58 in Abuja
Also, Plateau state posted 56 infections, Kwara and Ondo (38 each), Osun (24), Kano (22), Nasarawa (21), Abia (19), Edo, Akwa Ibom and Cross River (10 each) and nine in Delta State
Other states which recorded new infections are Benue state with eight, Ekiti (6), Borno and Katsina (4 each), Bauchi (3) as well as one each in Zamfara and Bayelsa states
Eight new deaths were also recorded on Wednesday pushing Nigeria’s death toll to 1,787
