A Federal High Court, Lagos, has ordered the temporary forfeiture of two houses belonging to Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.
The properties are located at number ten and eleven Abdul-Kadir Road, Government reservation area.
Justice Rilwan alkali issues the order, while ruling in an exparte application filed by economic and financial crimes commission (EFCC) against the former senate president.
EFCC had accused Saraki of being involved in an alleged fraud it detected in the state treasury, while he was governor of the state between 2004 and 2011.the judge orders EFCC to publish the temporary forfeiture order in a national daily.
He adjourns the suit till December 17, while asking anyone who has interest in the properties to appear before him on the date to explain why they should not be permanently forfeited.
